Assessment of Groundwater Potential Zones across Katrol Hill Fault, Kachchh, Western India: A Remote Sensing and GIS Approach

The present study focuses on the use of remote sensing and geographical information system tools for morphometric geomorphic analysis major river basins across Katrol Hill Fault, which makes drainage divide. It aims to find groundwater potential management planning resources. area consists 6 watersheds systems namely Bhurud, Khari, Pat flowing north divide, while Rukmawati, Nagavanti, Bhukhi are southerly rivers. Based linear, areal, aspects, a watershed with excellent was found. highest order in is 5th stream. Appropriate network characteristics, elongated shape, permeable lithological formation low relief among all made WS3 be groundwater. statistical analysis, where Cp value computed, showed zone followed by WS2 WS5. These results were even verified field data, collected from well-inventory that too favored as an potential.
